Adiantamento de programação “Xacobean Ports” is addressed to all the Galician people, on the coast and inland, and to all foreigners that make the Way or that visit the Galician community during this Holy Year to get to know better our ports and their historical relationship with the Way.

Out of all the Xacobean routes, five go through the coast. The selected ports for this event are: Ribadeo for the Northern Way; Fisterra, Muxía, Cee and Corcubión for the Fisterra-Muxía Way; Pontedeume and Betanzos for the English Way; Tui, Pontecesures and Pontevedra for the Portuguese Way; and Ribeira, A Pobra, Vilanova de Arousa, Cambados and Rianxo for the Route of the sea of Arousa and Ulla river.  A total of 15 ports clearly linked to the pilgrimage to Compostela, both for belonging to the Way, and for being entry points for pilgrims.

The main events of this programme include classical and Baroque music concerts in emblematic venues such as churches, museums or chapels; tribute concerts to the music of the 60´s and 70´s and Spanish pop-rock in the different harbour facilities; and conferences that will bring us closer to the Xacobean routes from a historical perspective. Furthermore, during the summer months, there will be concerts and exhibitions on board of the Hidria II, a 130-metres-long steam boat that will visit several “Xacobean Ports”. This is just an advance of the programme. We will be posting new events soon.
