In Xacobeo, music covers all kinds of styles and scales, including large festivals organised by Xacobeo, such as Xacobeo Classics and Via Stellae, which bring Galicia the top names in classical music throughout the year, or Xacobeo Raíces (Roots), bringing together leading Galician folk musicians.

A diversity of genres and styles will also be expressed through the collaboration with Galician series, such as Xacobeo Importa (Xacobeo Matters).

Xacobeo 2010 supports the local music industry. The “Galicia en Vivo” (Galicia, Live) project has been created in the same line, with 12 festivals of Galician music, supporting its endorsement and promotion outside Galicia.

For the most up-to-date music, there will be an exclusive edition of the best festivals in Spain with a special version for Galicia, as is the case with Sónar Galicia, MTV and 40 Principales (The Top 40), not to mention big-name concerts with renowned artists such as Mark Knopfler.
